IHeartRadio announces Vegas music fest with Paul McCartney to be aired, streamed

IHeartRadio announced Sept. 16 that the upcoming iHeartRadio Music Festival Sept. 20-21 in Las Vegas that will include an appearance by Paul McCartney will be broadcast live on radio and streamed online as well as broadcast as a taped four-hour prime-time TV special.

The festival will broadcast live via Clear Channel radio stations across the country and will be video streamed through Yahoo Music and the PlayStation®3 (PS3™) gaming console. In addition, the Festival, now in its third year, will be televised as a two-night primetime special on The CW Network to kick off their fall season on Sept. 30.

iHeartRadio gave no details on how much of McCartney's performance will be featured on any of the online or TV/radio broadcasts.

The sold-out festival, hosted by Ryan Seacrest Sept. 20-21 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, will feature performances by artists including Paul McCartney, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, J. Cole, Elton John, Muse, Tiësto, Chris Brown, Keith Urban, fun, Miguel, Bruno Mars, Phoenix, Zedd, Maroon 5, Tim McGraw, Ke$ha, Drake, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Benny Benassi, Queen + Adam Lambert, a special guest appearance by Robin Thicke and The Summer Set, this year's Macy's iHeartRadio Rising Star winner.

The festival can be viewed online at iheartradio.yahoo.com to watch the live webcast of the iHeartRadio Music Festival or view the event on a PlayStation®3 system through the Live Events Viewer app on September 20 & 21 for free anywhere in the United States. Listeners can also tune-in to their local Clear Channel radio station to hear the live audio stream.

The TV broadcast of the music festival takes place from 8 to 10 p.m. EST/PST Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 as a two-night primetime special on The CW Network.
