Ignore No More app: Frustrated mom's ingenious app gains popularity

"Why didn't you answer when I called?" In our modern world full of smartphones, this question seems to be increasingly common among parents of adolescents. Of course, if they are having fun, the last thing a child wants to hear is a warning to come home on time or risk being scolded."Oh ... sorry Mom. I did not hear the phone." This excuse could be a thing of the past thanks to Sharon Standifird, an American mother, who was tired of her kids ignoring her calls. As explained by The Guardian today, she decided to create the Ignore No More app, an application capable of locking her kids phones until they called her back.

Standifird had no computer knowledge before creating the Ignore No More app. "I got on the internet and I literally just started researching how to develop an app," she said. Its operation is simple: it is installed on the phone and if children repeatedly refuse to answer a call from their parents, their phone becomes locked. "If your children ignore your repeated calls and text messages to reach them, you simply lock their phones until they call you back," a message on the Ignore No More app website reads.

"When you lock your child’s phone with Ignore No More your child has only two options - he or she can call you back, or call for an emergency responder. No calls to friends, no text, no games, notta' until they call you back. When they do, you can unlock their phone if you choose to do so," describes the mother on the website.

Standifird, who was a soldier on active duty during the Gulf War, says it is virtually impossible for children to disable or uninstall the application on their own.

Currently, the Ignore No More App is available for $1.99 in the Google Play Store only for the Android system.
