If you need any incentive to exercise vigorously take a vacation! My family and I are currently on a cruise and everyday is jammed with activity whether we walk around on a tour of the Colosseum in Rome or get on the wrong train to Nice. Everyday there is plenty of walking. My cousin uses a pedometer and she has determined that each day we average between 5 to 7 miles of walking. I am pretty sure that I do not do that normally. If I did I would lose my extra pounds in no time! The problem with being on vacation is that I am also enjoying the gelato and the fresh pasta along with the exercise. Being together with my family helps my mental health which is important too. I laugh a lot and share stories with them. I also meet new people along the way. We have taken many day trips and sometimes we hire a driver to get from the ship to the city. Our driver in Rome said that he figured out that he could make more money working lots of overtime but at too high a cost to his family life and his health. Truer words have never been spoken.
