Popular Landscape Designer and TV Personality wants grass to be a part of the low maintenance movement; touts RTF Water Saver Grass Seed at the 2013 Landscape Ontario Congress Trade Show
Carson Arthur, a renowned landscape guru who regularly appears on CityLine TV, the Shopping Channel, and Hosts on HGTV, isn’t a fan of lawns. In fact if anything, he downright hates them.
However, the widely regarded and sought after expert for lawn and garden care for millions of Canadians seems to have changed his tune, and for good reason.
You see Arthur has discovered a new grass seed in Canada, one that is green and eco-safe on many levels. The new product, RTF Water Saver Grass Seed (distributed by RTF Water Saver Canada), produces a thick, uniform lawn and is right on the mark when it comes to water conservation.
Those involved in the landscape and garden industry will have the chance to hear Arthur speak about this new innovative seed at this year’s Landscape Ontario (LO) Congress Trade Show, an event that is being held at the Toronto Congress Centre. Arthur will be at the RTF Water Saver Grass Seed Booth (#369) on January 9, 2013, from 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
“RTF Water Saver Grass Seed is a new type of grass seed and Canadians are getting really excited about it,” says Arthur, who has touted the seed recently on the Shopping Channel. “What’s really unique about this seed is that the roots go down as far as six feet. That’s huge for such a tiny little plant. What’s even better is that it uses 30% less water and this is because the roots go so deep they are able to access water tables below, so they are not so shallow and we can now get grass that will live through hot summers.”
He adds, “This grass grows sideways so it fills all the empty spaces in your lawn. Plus bugs don’t like it; bugs hate this grass… Canadians are calling this a fantastic seed that has ample benefits for our environment.”
“This new seed, with water saving features, produces a thick uniform lawn that chokes out weeds and has more resilience to pests, disease and drought.”
“The Canadian definition of a yard has always included a lawn. Now it’s time for the grass to be part of the low maintenance movement. The lawn traditionally requires more labour and resources than any other component in an outdoor space. This can now change with RTF Water Saver Grass Seed.”
This is the first time in Arthur’s career that he has publicly endorsed a grass seed product on the market.
Ryan Streatch, National Sales Agent and Spokesperson for RTF Water Saver Canada, is delighted to have Arthur as a feature guest at this annual industry trade show that attracts thousands of professional landscapers, landscape designers, parks & recreation department heads and retailers alike.
“The landscape industry has now entered a whole new chapter,” says Streatch. “The talk these days is all about being green and innovative with pesticide bans and water bans in place in many provinces across Canada. Landscapers, golf courses, municipalities and homeowners are looking for new, viable and sustainable solutions for lawn care that can help reduce our environmental footprint.”
Streatch adds, “Having someone like Carson Arthur support our new and innovative grass seed speaks volumes. It’s a multi-use lawn solution in one pouch”
