What a great day! Well, to be honest this morning as a cold front was pushing through it was overcast with even some light sprinkles before noontime to the south. After that, the clouds pushed out and we were left with a sun-filled afternoon as the high at Philly International reached 56 degrees! Granted the average high is now 51, but after having a harsh winter of below average temperatures this felt good today!
Overnight we'll have a few clouds as a short wave pushes through; we stay dry with lows in the middle and upper 30s. Tuesday will feature a mixture of sunshine and clouds with another piece of energy moving through, but highs will make a run toward the lower 60s! If that's not good enough with you how about close to 70 on Wednesday? With thunderstorms possible! Yes, it's true! It's ahead of a potent low pressure area with plenty of moisture for the late afternoon and evening...AND on the back end once colder air filters through we may see some wet snowflakes early Thursday morning with little or now accumulation with temperatures settling into the 30s by the afternoon.
So we'll go from Summer back to Winter in less than 24 hours....yikes!
