Just when we thought a hotel couldn’t get more cutting-edge, sleek and sexy than the Delano South Beach along comes the Delano Las Vegas. And baby, it’s deluxe with a capital “D”. The property which opens officially at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
Get this, it’s a non-smoking hotel in Sin City. Accommodations are lavish suites measuring 735 square feet, with quirky art that pays tribute to the town depicting classic desert roadside scenes. Whites and neutral colors emphasize the décor while iconic window sheers covering floor-to-ceiling windows, crisp white linens and oversized tufted headboards, updated with playful gold accents finish the leit motif. Of course there are also flat screen TVs, wet bars and other lavish touches.
Pools and spa are big and better in Vegas and the Delano’s will challenge the competition withl its own private pool just steps from the sand and surf of Mandalay Bay Beach and wave pool. A Delano Beach Club, scheduled to open in 2015, will offer guests an exclusive locale to relax.
The BATHHOUSE Spa will provide pampering-plus such as the Double the Pleasure Massage, performed in synchronicity by two massage therapists and a collection of Global Journeys that escort guests through a series of reatments reflecting traditional rituals from regions around the world including India, Asia, Europe and a "Taste From the Islands."
You can also expect plenty of bars, lounges and restaurants highlighted by a top floor Dining & Lounge by the world famous Alain Ducasse that will feature French and Italian cuisine.
Delano Las Vegas is a partnership between MGM Resorts International and Morgans Hotel Group and will replace THEhotel at Mandalay Bay. The transformation of Delano Las Vegas began earlier this month with the opening scheduled for September 2014. The debut of the boutique hotel will mark the culmination of Mandalay Bay's property-wide evolution, which includes collaborations with brands such as Cirque du Soleil, The Light Group and Four Seasons in addition to Morgans Hotel Group.
