If Texas had a choice of women, which would get the nod? (Video)

During the 2010 race for governor in Texas, nobody had even heard of Libertarian Kathie Glass and as such, she only managed 2.2 percent of the vote. Nobody knew of Democrat State Sen. Wendy Davis until her death inspiring filibuster that cost taxpayers an extra session, of which, Davis’ efforts were all for nothing.

Glass will run on the reality, there’s really no difference between the states’ Republicans and Democrats. Both ignore voters, concentrate on special interests and pass legislation they know benefits only those who paid for it. Davis on the other hand, will run on her fame of the filibuster, under the impression, she’s the right choice among women voters.

Both women face an uphill battle. Glass is the third party candidate and perhaps will gather some support from both parties, but not enough to make a difference. When Texas women look at Davis, they only see a bloody, lifeless baby, that didn’t have a say in whether it lives or dies. She will gather some pro-women’s rights votes, but the question will be, can she weather the storm from the pro-life groups?

While Texas is seeking change from it’s current government, Glass will try running on making ‘nullification a household-known concept.' Davis will bet the farm on running as a ‘advocate for those who feel they no longer have a voice in the halls of the Texas Capitol,’ which does not include unborn babies.

"In the current environment, if we keep doing what we have always done, voting within the two-party system, we won't be able to keep what we have got," Glass said. "We have got to chart a new course."

‘In Austin today, our current leadership thinks promises are just something you make to the people who write big checks,’ Davis said. ‘But the promise I’m talking about is bigger than that. It’s the promise of a better tomorrow for everyone. Texas deserves a leader who will protect this promise. Texas deserves a leader who will keep it.’

Attorney General Greg Abbott, a Republican, is a part of the system of government in Austin that apparently nobody wants anymore. Would a doctor recommend the Libertarian, Glass, or would the doctor order up Davis who will eventually reduce Democrat voters through abortion tremendously.
