If Halle Berry was cheated on, are any of us safe?

Yes, it’s been a few years since Halle Berry’s ex-husband Eric Benét cheated on her, but this brings up a couple big questions when it comes to trusting your partner. First, just about everyone will agree that Halle Berry is absolutely gorgeous. We don’t know what her personality is like, but she not known for being a diva and certainly seems to exude a charming, sweet self.

Now, since just about none of us are as stunning and beautiful as Halle Berry…if her mate could cheat on her, what chances do the rest of us have? Elizabeth Hurley (another absolutely gorgeous woman) was cheated on as well. If her former guy (Hugh Grant, who cheated on her with a prostitute) could look elsewhere for sex while having access to one of the most beautiful women in the world…what does this tell us?

We do all try to look our best, but to what end?  Most women will never look like Halle Berry or Elizabeth Hurley…and if their mates could be with such beautiful women and cheat so blatantly…where does this leave the rest of the female population who are looking for a faithful man? We could say that these are the few exceptions to the rule; however this has happened to many more gorgeous women than just Halle and Elizabeth.  Tea Leoni (David Duchovny apparently cheated countless times due to a “sex addiction”)….Brad Pitt fell in love with Angelina while still married to Jen…Pamela Anderson walked in on Tommy Lee cheating on her…and it goes on and on.

So, for those of you who believe that you have to look your absolute best to keep a man…think again! While looking good can make you feel good about yourself…and eating right & maintaining a healthy weight is in your best interest, health wise….it can’t bring you the safe feeling of knowing that you won’t be cheated on. In many cases (not all of course), men have cheated on gorgeous woman for someone much less attractive.

These high profile cases of cheating tell us that it is not what we look like that can cause a man to cheat… it is the very men themselves whom we choose to be with that determines if we will be cheated on.   Apparently, if a man is a cheater…it does not matter what his girlfriend or wife looks like.
And to be fair, it can go the other way as well…woman can cheat on gorgeous men…as his appearance is not going to stop cheating women from cheating.

And while we can’t peer into the private lives of these couples to know what happens behind closed doors, one would venture to say that odds tell us that we should throw looks aside and concentrate on the very core of a relationship…perhaps communication was missing, perhaps life got very monotonous and making sure to take time to have fun together would have made a difference. Maybe they had different goals in life that were not discussed. And perhaps, just perhaps…it makes a difference if you don’t rush into things and do take the time to get to know someone extremely well to know their goals, ambitions, dreams, good sides & bad sides, before you make a commitment and give your heart to someone.
