Combinations of colors and harmonic frequencies create the whole picture in a natal astrology chart. The natal chart is a basic personality profile that describes a multifaceted individual often referred to as a birth chart. After the natal chart is cast, the planetary placements begin to form the basis of chart interpretation. A color wash tints your painting and so do the triplicities and quadruplicities.
Four lines intersect equally through the circular mandala that is the chart. Visually, these lines form a cross, making four different sections.At this point, the astrologer starts getting a general impression. Still there is a long, complex map to discovery on the journey of chart interpretation.
The system organizes and groups the individual’s planets according to elements such as Fire, Air, Earth, and Water. From there, the process goes on to find relationships between the planets, and the houses. “"The elements very clearly correspond to [Carl] Jung’s four personality types: Fire to Intuition, Air to Thinking, Earth to Sensation and Water to Feeling."”
These groupings are arranged in four parts distributed among the 12 houses of the natal astrology chart. The next basic deals with positive or negative planets. The use of positive/negative regards polarities of energies in astrology. There is a corresponding series of opposites such as yin/yang, male/female, and so on. These alternate in thirty-degree segments around the circle. Following the planets orbit, the degrees that match a natal chart tell about the climate of the native's current life. These transits happen as the celestial world is in constant change affecting earthlings in many different ways depending on chart interpretation results. So if a planetary match takes place in a chart, the degree of the transit specifies which area of a person's life is affected along with when and for how long.
For further refinement, the triplicities narrow the focus even more. This is a breakdown of the elements of Fire, Air, Earth, and Water and their symbolism. The four elements occur in three different areas. Next there is a compare and contrast analysis of elements along with a count to find the majority of the elemental influences.
So, for instance, a person born with the sun sign of Aries may only have that one fire sign in the chart. A preponderance of other planets in the element of water would drastically outweigh the fiery aspect of the singular fire sign Aries. It’s a rarity to find anyone’s chart balanced in the number of elements, but there are a few, namely Einstein and Beethoven for example.
Charts are more or less arbitrarily assigned to houses which divide the horoscope wheel. The reasons for the houses is unclear other than that they help organize the investigation of a birth chart. As the various signs blend with the characteristics of the house in which they dwell, they are beginning to change from a category to an individual perspective. The houses look like pie shaped wedges dividing the "wheel" upon which the planets are arranged contingent to the native's birth.
The tint of this painting has altered in its mood, disposition or inclination. For example: A person whose sun sign is in the fourth house is someone who would inherit a domestic inclination from that particular house placement.
Still, this part of the process only begins to describe the unique personality that an astrology chart reveals.
