CNN reported the Raleigh Police Department as saying that three armed suspects broke into the N.C. residence while McCreery was inside with several friends. According to the police, the suspects made off with “money, wallets and electronics from multiple victims before leaving.” Fortunately, McCreery and everyone else that was inside the apartment were left unharmed. McCreery hails from Garner, which isn’t too far from the university.

About this time yesterday, McCreery posted to his Facebook page: “About last night's robbery: Yes, it was definitely a very scary night.”

“Luckily, my friends and I are safe and the Raleigh PD is on the case. I will share more when the time is right, but as of now we do not want to do or say anything that could hinder the investigation. Thanks to everyone for the prayers and support.

A huge thank you to the Raleigh PD for their quick response and hard work in solving this case."

Jim Sughrue, a spokesperson for the Raleigh Police Department shared that all three suspects had guns, according to Fox News. Neighbors in the immediate area reported being able to hear the suspects charging up the apartment stairs and also could hear commotion inside the apartment.

“All you heard was yelling like ‘Who are you? What are you doing here?’ for a good five minutes. It was just yelling.”

As of this writing, no arrests have been made in connection to the Monday morning home invasion and armed robbery, according to Time.

McCreery resumes touring on May 9. You can check out his upcoming concert schedule on his website. And for more on McCreery's scary home invasion, see the video accompanying this article.
