BroadwayGlobal shares the heartbreaking news that no one wants to hear. The timing is never good for a break up. Especially during the Holiday Season. Christmas bells are ringing... Kiss me, it's beginning to snow. So we must look to the brighter side of life, Idina's song by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson Lopez "Let it Go" from Frozen has been nominated for Best Original Song Golden Globe Award. Frozen was also nominated for Best Animated Feature Film. The lyrics to "Let it Go" are a bit to close to home. Can't hold it back anymore, let it go, let it go, turn away and slam the door, I don't care, what they're going to say.. the cold never bothered me anyway."
While Idina's song gets Golden Globe nods, The Best Man Holiday, a long awaited sequel to Best Man may be playing out more twist and turns in Taye's real life. Taye might not be enjoying this Holiday Season as planned. But, Universal will enjoy the festive season as Taye hits the viral social media news. Taye's movies are selling well, and will sell even more at the box office, now that fans are coming out to support Taye at the theatre.
We had to just put it out there, so BroadwayGlobal sent Taye Diggs a message saying "We all have been there, and break ups are never easy. Everything is for a reason! Again, on the brighter side, Taye Diggs is being considered for Best Supporting Actor for the movie Between Us, with Spirit Awards, SAG, WGA, Golden Globes, Oscar, and is the winner of Critics Choice. Between Us is available on iTunes, amazon VOD, DVD and still at select theatres.
Taye's Facebook page has been focused on their adorable son and Taye's ChocolateMe Campaign, that has just started taking on more momentum. "Chocoalte Me" is a book about kids who feel different. It focuses on kids to embrace self-acceptance, love themselves. While Taye has been the king of hash tags, with his #BreakOffaPeace and #ChocoalteThought, Idina has been busy with the new musical "If/Then". If Best Man had not kept Taye busy with promotions on the road maybe "If" or "Then" this beloved Broadway couple would not be breaking up. Time working on Greys' Anatomy, has left Taye in Private Practice. Fans are wishing that Taye was back on Broadway playing Fiyero, next to Idina as Elphaba in "Wicked" but as you hear the new hit song "Let It Go" sung by Idina, that may change your mind. Idina may be Frozen for now, but the love of these two talented artists and true friendship will survive the media buzz.
Can it be true that Tony Award winning singer- actress Idina Menzel is wishing "If/Then" did' not parallel her personal life, at this very moment? The musical by Tom Kitt with book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and Directed by Michael Greif just had a pre-Broadway run in Washington D.C. Many theatre lovers have said that is very good, but a bit long. Will the break up of this ten year story book marriage set back the Broadway Opening of "If/Then"? From "Rent" to "Wicked", TV show Glee and National tour, Idina has been extremely busy. Friends that have worked closley with Idina say "the show must go on" and it will for both of them. You can follow Idina on twitter at www.twitter.com/idinamenzel or find current information at www.idinamenzel.com.
Taye became an instant movie star since the hit movie How Stella Got Her Groove Back. His sexy chiseled looks, strong vocals, dance abilities and acting chops have put Taye in the limelight for years. They may have met just making the "RENT" but La Vie Boheme. As Taye is seen on his Facebook page in cladly covered shots, one must wonder, is it the roles that these two stars are playing that may be effecting their relationships, and not their unconditional love for each other?
In "If/Then" Idina is living in NYC rebuilding her life in the city with infinite possibilities. Unlike "RENT" in this musical Idina is dealing with her love interest, who just happens to be Gay. "If/Then" is a contemporary original musical, where life leaves you at an intersection of choice and chance, where the road you take meets the road you didn't. Sounds like real life today for Taye and Idina, a relationship intersection of choice or chance. Sometimes life plays out close to home for a reason. What is certain is this, they both love their son dearly. Taye and Idina respect each other as friends and parents, enough to get through this break up while Movie and Broadway fans watch closley. It's just another star studded couple dealing with real life. "How can you support them? See their shows, movies, buy the book, and let them deal with their relationship as you would, in privacy." How do you measure your life? In Love. "Seasons of Love".
