Sandy Patterson (Jason Bateman) is your average, middle-aged working man. A husband, father of two little girls, and now a victim of identity theft. When the police will not come to his aid and his job is on the line due to his credit score crashing because of the charges on his card he decides to take matters into his own hands and travel to Orlando to confront and bring back the thief- Diana (Melissa McCarthy). He arrives in Florida only to find that Diana is a worthy opponent but also has a side that he didn't expect. Saving the rest of the movie for your surprise and enjoyment, all that can be said now is “Identity Thief” is a hilarious movie that brings unexpected laughs the entire time! Bateman and McCarthy are a terrific duo and have excellent chemistry together as actors. Director Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses, Four Christmases) brings another great film to theaters with a great storyline and well thought out script. The movie takes many different turns and does not end in the way that you think it will, which is a great plus. While it's not a block-busting movie that takes the film industry to a new level, and it's also not a brand new story that no one else has made before, it's a fun film that keeps you laughing and will be a great film to add to your collection.
