I have a theory about Democrats. They can always vote for things that feel good even when there is no chance of their being implemented. They can always say to constituents, “Well, I voted the right way, but Republicans said no.”
In that scenario, there is no accountability for achievement, only for saying that they tried. President Obama may be known as the “try hard” president. He can already point to some accomplishments, yet compared with the scope and scale of what needs to be done, he is trending toward lame.
America needs a sustainable future, and the challenge is for anyone to come forward with a viable plan for producing that outcome. If you are in the tenth grade, tell your parents to hurry up and remind them that you are as intelligent as the average American voter.

He warned students and teachers that the fragility of families, the easy violence of guns, and a threatened education system are failing Chicago’s South Side, where he once worked as a community organizer and began his family.”
