An article in IDEA Fitness Journal reports that the more you snack, the healthier your diet. Snackers tended to eat more fruit, whole grains, and milk than non-snackers, according to a recent study that included over 11,000 people at University of Alabama. Frequent snackers also tended to eat healthier meals. Many diets programs, such as The Zone, South Beach Diet, and others have long touted the benefits of mini-meals and 2 to 3 snacks a day.
