The body of a Idaho hiker has finally be found. She went hiking at Craters of the Moon National Monument. On Oct. 24, Reuters reported that the body of 63-year-old Jodean Elliott-Blakeslee has been found after an helicopter search.
This body search started before the government shutdown. She was reported on missing on Sept. 24. She was hiking with Amelia Linkert and her remains were found last month. The search for the body of Jodean had to be stopped due to the government shutdown and workers not being allowed to work. When the government reopened last week, they were able to start searching for him again.
Several people were willing to keep looking in the area even though they were not getting paid. They said that they could not let her down. Last week when the government opened back up they were able to bring back in more people to search and finally found the body of Idaho hiker Jodean Elliott-Blaeslee.
