Icy Fun in Columbus, February 2011

If you love the ice and snow, or are just looking for something to do around Columbus this winter, check out these activities for February 2001:

Saturday, February 12

Fight for Air Climb, 9am, Chase Tower, 100 E. Broad Street (Downtown). Participants will climb 24 stories (453 steps) to reach the top of Chase Tower to raise awareness and money to support local education programs, research and advocacy. Fundraising is required and goes to benefit the American Lung Association.

Owl Prowl, 7pm, Indian Village Outdoor Recreation Center, 3200 Indian Village Rd., Columbus. Take a hike in the night to look for owls. All ages are welcome to attend (adults only, bring flashlights) & bring a mug for hot chocolate! $3 per person.

Sunday, February 13

CRRC Winter Run, 1pm, Granville Intermediate School, 2025 Burg Street, Granville. Various race lengths: 3, 7.5 and 15 mile runs on rolling terrain. $25 until 2/1 & $30 until day of race.

Sunday, February 20

Fitness & Fashion 5K, 10:30am, Tuttle Mall, Hilliard. 5K walk inside the mall, with gift cards and special coupons as prizes. $25 adults, $5 children.

The Ride Inside, Lifestyle Family Fitness, 7690 New Market Way, Dublin. 3 sessions beginning at 9am, or ride through all 3. Indoor cycling event to raise money for the LiveStrong Foundation and Pelotonia. $25 per session or $45 for all 3 sessions. (Note: the bike pedals are equipped for clip-on shoes only.)

Saturday, February 26

The Big Ride, Downtown Branch YMCA, 40 W. Long St., Downtown. 4-hour indoor cycling event to raise money for People Helping People. $25 for two hour session & $40 for the 4-hour complete ride.

Sunday, February 27

Last Chance for Boston Marathon, Crown Plaza Hotel, 600 Metro Place North, Dublin. 5K, 10K, half-marathon & full marathon races held within a one-mile loop. Prices vary depending on length of race chosen & date of registration. Check here for more details.
