Diamond Select Toys (DST) announced in a press release today that their Thundercats series 3 Minimates are now available. These were produced by Icon Heroes in conjunction with Art Asylum. Fans can pick up this exclusive set only at online retailer Action Figure Express.
The Thundercats series 3 boxed set contains four fully articulated Minimates and one unarticulated figure. Fans can complete the main group of heroes with the included Tygra, Cheetara, Wilykit and Wilykat. An unarticulated RoBear Bill mini-figure rounds out the set. All of the figures are based upon their appearance in the classic “Thundercats” cartoon.
This new collection joins previous boxed sets released by Icon Heroes. The sold out first series included Lion-O, Panthro, Jaga, Mumm-Ra and a mini-figure of Lion-O’s sidekick Snarf. The second set is still available and includes the villains Slythe, Jackalman, Vultureman, Monkian and a mini-figure of Wolfrat.
A fourth series in the line was also confirmed, but its exact contents have not been revealed. Fans are hoping they will be able to complete the main villains with a transformed version of Mumm-Ra.
