Ice storm reports 22 Dec 2013

A powerful storm moved across the Lower Michigan over the weekend with a thick coating of ice bringing down trees and power lines. Hundreds of thousands of people lost power across the state.

The heaviest accumulations stretched in a line from roughly Lansing to Flint.

Even the wind sensors on my house suffered the consequences of the ice. They froze over on Friday and remain encased in ice today.
