Some people say that Brooklyn's Aviator Sports is equivalent to New York City's famous Sky Rink in Chelsea in Manhattan. The arena, which is located on an eight-hundred acre decommissioned airport, includes two NHL size ice sheets and is open seven days a week. Other activities that take place in the facility include gymnastics, basketball, and rock climbing. Brooklyn locals know that the facility is great place to have birthday parties.
The arena also offers figure skating programs, group rentals, private and group skating lessons, and ice hockey programs. Skaters of all ages, especially those who live in Brooklyn, enjoy the facility's reasonable prices and top notch coaching staff. In addition, figure skaters of all ages have the opportunity to join the Aviator Figure Skating Club, take tests, participate in synchronized skating, and compete in basic skills or advanced figure skating competitions.
