Each year the latest innovations in sportfishing gather in one spot o show off the latest in sportfishing technology and Sunsect is convenience quality for the sportfishing lifestyle. It outperforms all other products on the market for consumer demand for safe and effective sunscreen and bug repellant.

Iguana, LLC manufactured the combination originally for military use. Scentfree, water resistant, sweat resistant patented lotion is specially formulated to repel ticks, mosquitos, chiggers, deer flies, black flies, fleas, and gnats. The long-lasting shield provides UVA and UVB protection from the sun known to cause skin cancers and is PABA-free. With regular Sunsect use the lotion reduces the chance of premature aging and wrinkling from overexposure to the sun. It moisturizes and protects the skin without leaving that sticky hot feeling or greasy residue.

Rigorously tested in diverse environments around the world. The military has used Sunsect for over twenty years in soldier survival packs as a prevention in mosquito-born hostile illness like denge fever, lassa fever, leishmaniasis, West Nile Virus, lyme disease, malaria and encephalitides. Now the general public can share in the same sun and mosquito protection when enjoying the outdoors

Sunsect does use DEET. DEET in the past has been used since 1957 with only eight deaths resulting, compared to Tylenol which had 500-1,000 per year due to liver failure, and 16,000 deaths per year from prescription opioid use. Risk of seizure is 1 in a million. The effectiveness of DEET is absorbed by the skin or evaporates in three to eight hours. Thanks to the folks at Iguana, LLC a new formula, 20-percent DEET molecules in a plasticized matrix forms a film designed to reduce both absorption and evaporation. As long as Sunsect is used by following directions it does not pose any health risks to children or adults.

The truth about SPF A sunscreen with an SPF of 15 has only 93-percent effectiveness while a sunscreen with SPF30 has 97-percent effectiveness. It is not true according to Sunsect’s site that if you apply a sunscreen lotion with an SPF of 50 you will be able to stay in the sun fifty times longer. Make sure you carry sun and bug repellent protection with you on the boat and on the bank.
