Ibrahimovic does it again

Swedish player, Zlatan Ibrahimovic from AC Milan, is sanctioned for three games one more time. The disciplinary punishment was given to him because of misconduct against an opponent player and for insulting an assisting referee during the weekend match against Fiorentina.

The sport’s judge of the Italian league decided to suspend Zlatan Ibrahimovic for three games for his uncontrollable actions in a game were Zlatan’s team was winning.  Ibrahimovic was expelled from the game with four minutes left to the game.  Milan ended up winning the game 2-1 and kept the lead in the Italian league.

Milan’s coach stated that the player was only upset with himself and that Zlatan’s words were not directed at anybody but himself. Ibrahimovic confirmed his coach’s statement by saying that he was frustrated all game long at his bad play making. Zlatan Ibrahimovic apologized to the league, his opponents and the assisting referee by saying that his harsh worlds were only directed to himself.

With this sanction, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss three of the last six games left to the Italian league. Currently, Milan is in the lead with Napoli and Inter trailing for the fight to win the season by just a few points. Ibrahimovic is considered as a vital player for Milan and could cost the team the season title.

This is Ibrahimovic’s second sanction in less than a month. Last month, the Swedish soccer star was suspended for three games as well for hitting defender Marco Rossi from Bari. In this game, against Fiorentina, played this weekend, was Ibrahimovic’s come back from the March sanction.

The only fortunate thing about this sanction is that Milan will face teams that are struggling in the league, and the team should do well with Ibrahimovic out. The three teams scheduled are Sampdoria, Brescia and Bologna. Brescia is in the relegation zone and is in second to last place while Sampdoria, in 17th place, is struggling to stay out from being demoted to the lower league.
