Ian Somerhalder has been tweeting and documenting pictorally quite a bit about working on the Vampire Diaries set showing us how alike and how different his work is from the rest of us. Sorry, no spoilers are included.
Yesterday morning, August 30, at the outrageous hour of 5:26 a.m. he had this to say- ‘The way to start a day-a brother bringing you a coffee. TV shows are hard, long days-long nights have to. Instagram.com/doxKHRKJ1V’…. Earlier at 5:21…’Team work on a TV show-long days-long nights gotta have to look out for one.’
On August 29 at 1:30 p.m., he made a snippet of a machine rotating a car in a circle tweeting ‘Grownups playing with toys like kids AKA filmmaking. Instagram.com/p/dnEUVKqJ3Y/’. And being Ian he had to photo bomb it lol.
August 29 at the unheard of hour of 3:41 a.m. his tweet reads ‘Quiet, warm and inky dark ride to TVD set, southern summer mornings….wonderful.
At 6:30 a.m. on August 27, he shared which hopefully all of us can agree on. ‘Do what love- love what you do. At work by dreaded 6:30 a.m. like many… Love those damn people #TVD cast &cree truly amazing people.’
It seems like actors in a TV` series work long days which often turn into nights. There must be a lot of waiting in between scenes and waiting for your cast mates to do their parts. It must be emotionally draining vamping in and out of character and feeling what they feel. But from the way the Vampire Diaries episodes turn out it is well worth the effort.
