“Vampire Diaries” star Ian Somerhalder may be happier than ever with co-star/girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, but before romancing the gorgeous brunette, Ian had his share of other famous girlfriends, Wet Paint reported on Feb. 18.
According to the report, Ian Somerhalder dated quite a few famous ladies before embarking on a relationship with current girlfriend, Nina Dobrev.
In 2002, Ian began dating actress Kate Bosworth. The pair met on the short lived TV series, “Young Americans,” and later reunited on the set of “The Rules of Attraction.” However, the couple only lasted about four months before calling it quits.
Ian Somerhalder obviously has a thing for gorgeous women, because before hooking up with Nina Dobrev, the “Vampire Diaries” hunk dated socialite Nikki Hilton. The pair dated for a few months in late 2003/early 2004.
Somerhalder then made his way through Hollywood. In 2006 he dated actress Maggie Grace, and moved on to Megan Auld in 2007. Ian and Megan dated off and on until 2010.
During Somerhalder and Auld’s off again times, Ian was spotted getting close to former Miss Universe Lupita Jones in 2008, and “Twilight” actress Ashley Greene in 2009.
However, it was in 2010 that Ian Somerhalder began dating his current girlfriend, Nina Dobrev. The pair have become a favorite couple among fans, and seemingly have a lot in common.
Although Ian and Nina don’t publicly comment on their relationship much, the two have been spotted on numerous occasions looking very much in love.
