Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev will play in Direct TV's Celebrity Beach Bowl

Super Bowl weekend is upon us again (Feb 1,2) and we will be treated to another edition of Direct TV's Celebrity Beach Bowl on Saturday night AT Direct TV’s Superfan Stadium (Hudson River Park Pier 40. Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are scheduled to reprise their athletic ability on the team. Last year Ian was on the blue team and Nina was on the white and they were still a couple. What a difference a year makes, but as we have seen on the ‘Vampire Diaries’ and the playful banter when they both won for Best On Screen Chemistry at the People’s Choice Awards that they are still best friends and professional enough to get on with life. There was plenty of action in last year’s game when Ian grabbed Nina and she tackled back later in order to confiscate Ian’s yellow flag. Ian had long range action with the ball and was able to get past the other players without too much trouble. Nina was said to have a competitive edge but blue team did finally win the game.
