Ian Anderson has announced the release date of a third 'Thick as a Brick' entry in wake of his highly successful 'Thick as a Brick 2' studio album, which was a belated follow up to Jethro Tull's classic 1972 concept album.
According to an update posted Feb. 1 at Anderson's official Facebook page, the longtime JethroTull frontman will release ‘Homo Erraticus,’ his third prog-rock adventure into the 'Brick' exploits of the mythical character Gerald Bostock, in spring 2014.
The veteran Scottish prog-rocker describess the upcoming 'TAAB' installment as “the next epic voyage into the progressive pock pantheon of strangeness."
Anderson will release the album on his own label, Calliandra Records in conjunction with Kscope on April 14, followed by a U.K. tour, during which the album will be played in it's entirety in the first set, followed by Tull favourites in the second set.
Anderson, who toured Canada in the fall with his Thick as a Brick 1 & 2 Tour, will kick off the Homo Erraticus Tour on April 28 in Brighton, U.K. at Brighton Dome.
