There’s a fast food restaurant in a magical kingdom beyond your imagination. You must enter into the majestic park known as Disneyland to get into it, where they accept children of all ages. After entering this wonderful kingdom, you will be able to come through the gates of Frontierland and into the Wild West to come across an old saloon known as the Golden Horseshoe, where you can feast while being amongst the cowboys and darling damsels of the West.
Now, the cost to get into Disneyland may be on the steep end at $92 for ages 10 and up, but for the adventure of the happiest place on Earth and a chance to experience the Golden Horseshoe, it might well be worth it. The Golden Horseshoe serves American cuisine in a quick manner. On average, this Wild West saloon averages $14.99 a person per meal.
When it comes to meals, the Main Show brings to the plate chicken breast nuggets or fish and chips, with sliced apples or fries. Some of the supporting roles that will join the cast on your dish are the crispy chicken mixed green salad, chili cheese fries and chili in a bread bowl topped with cheddar cheese. Most importantly, kids can eat chicken breast nuggets with sliced apples and carrots for $6.49.
On the tail end of the menu, there is a special, healthy Mickey Check Meal offered to guests which is a Kid’s Power Pack with petite banana and carrots, Dannon Danimals Yogurt, sliced apples and Whole-Grain “fish” crackers. Park-goers can quench their thirst with assorted fountain beverages, coffee and hot tea. The Grand Finale of the Golden Horseshoes’ performance are the mint chocolate chip sundaes, strawberry sundaes, hot fudge sundaes, Golden Horseshoe ice cream floats or chocolate cake.
The Golden Horseshoe opened in 1955 at Disneyland. Over the years, the stage has held several different performances, but currently houses the show, “Billy Hill and the Hillbillies,” seven days a week. Even after 58 years, this saloon still remains popular to thousands of Disney guests.
The Golden Horseshoe is most popular during lunch hours on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. However, you can enjoy the food and entertainment here Sunday through Saturday from lunch all the way through dinner. Whether you just like the food or the Wild West ambiance, just be ready for a loud atmosphere and a smile on your face.
