It's true, True Blood true believers: Anna Paquin has officially come out as a bisexual, and the news is so big that it has crashed the website for the We Give a Damn website, a public service announcement project related to Cindy Lauper's True Colors Fund.
In the new PSA, which also features Cynthia Nixon, Whoopi Goldberg, Elton John, Kim Kardashian, Sharon and Kelly Osbourne, Clay Aiken, Jason Mraz, Mya, and Wanda Sykes, Paquin looks into the camera and says:
I'm bisexual, and I give a damn.
The actress, best known for her Oscar-winning performance in The Piano when she was just 11 years old, is engaged to her True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer. She'll return to her (frequently nude) role as Sookie Stackhouse – HBO's taken to using the acronym "VILF" in its new marketing materials (this vampire lover is considerably saucier than Twilight's Bella) – when the third season of True Blood premiers on June 13.
The True Colors Fund, the non-profit arm of the True Colors Tour and co-founded by Cyndi Lauper, seeks to inspire nd engage everyone, particularly the straight community, to become active participants in the advancement of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) equality nd ensure a strong and vibrant LGBT community.
