He’s nice, fun, and the sex is red-hot, but he’s not the one! So what should you do with him?
This conundrum rears its sexy head now and again; a perfectly good man with a golden rod that stokes the fires of the body, but not the heart. Usually, when women copulate with a man, they develop a chemical bond that often leads to love or love may have been there first before the sweaty chemical bonding. However it occurs, it usually binds the woman to the man in a heart-felt way. But there are times….
There are times when the chemical bonding misfires and leaves a woman addicted to the sex and little else.
It’s these rare occurrences that create the “friends with benefits” phenomena that actually work, for a time. Eventually, the heart wants some action, too, and will find it in another. That is when a woman might be faced with choosing between hot sex and love. Hopefully she finds both with the man who captures her heart, but fate gets her panties in a wad now again and thinks she’s funny.
A woman can fall head over heels in love with a man and have zero physical chemistry. Nothing sucks the big hairy worse than getting intimate with the one you love only to feel like you’re kissing your brother! (This has happened to me!).
What happens then? Well, in my own case, it helped me to get over that person. In other instances, it might lead to a very platonic marriage. Ho-hum. Now, there can’t always be fireworks in a long-term relationship, but one would hope to at least feel a spark now and again, right?
This leads back to those relationships where love doesn’t bloom, but the chemistry is off the charts. How long can such a relationship last? It depends on the individuals. For some, it may be enough, especially if there is a solid friendship in place. For others, it might just be a passing fling if there is no admiration and respect outside of the bedroom.
Good sex is not always easy to come by. It’s a combination of so many things that if just one ingredient is missing, the whole meal loses its flavor. Sure, it might suffice and fill you up at the moment, but like a bad restaurant, you won’t return for seconds.
If you can find that person who can play you like a symphony orchestra, I say enjoy the heck out of it, over and over again. Why settle for a bad rendition of Smoke on the Water by some wannabe rock star when you can bed a maestro and see Stars and Stripes Forever? True, the “show” will run its course, but the memory of the experience will put on a smile on your face every time.
