WHAT: Food & Wine for Heart Health—
FREE Chocolate & Wine Tasting compliments of the Vineyard Wine Shop & Enstrom Candies in Cherry Creek North. We'll be tasting of Enstrom Candies (Colorado Proud) chocolates alongside heart-healthy wines (Lambrusco, Cabernet, Port and Late Harvest Zinfandel) from the Vineyard Wine Shop.
Cooking Demonstration at LeCreuset Heart on Healthy Side Dishes: Roasted Beets. Recipes provided!
Beets are often described as “Popeye's powerfood,” for the vegetable’s strong folate and betaine content. “These two nutrients work together to lower your blood levels of homocysteine, an inflammatory compound that can damage your arteries and increase your risk of heart disease.”*
Denver Restaurant Week kicks off Feb. 22 with 12 Cherry Creek North restaurants participating. Participating restaurants will offer a multi-course dinner for just $30. Dining out doesn’t have to ruin your heart healthy diet. Offerings like the Chukka (seaweed) Salad from Hapa Sushi & Sake Bar or the Chicken Quinoa Salad from Harman’s Eat+Drink are examples of some of the Restaurant Week menu items that are indulgent and healthy. The full list of participating Cherry Creek North restaurants can be found at: DenverRestaurantWeek.com.

WHY: Cherry Creek North partnered with Denver’s American Heart Association to help raise awareness of heart disease. I Heart Fridays is a way to show our love for Cherry Creek North visitors; while they can enjoy what they love about Cherry Creek North.
More than 627,000 women’s lives have been saved, but the fight is far from over. Heart disease is still women’s No. 1 killer – it affects more women than men and is more deadly than all forms of cancer combined. But the strength of mothers, sisters, daughters and friends fighting side by side is more powerful than any killer. It’s time to shout louder, stand stronger and demand change. Together, we can end heart disease with awareness, education, and treatment.
