I Give Myself Away Christian music Mp3 song by William McDowell
I've wanted to write about this I Give Myself Away song by William McDowell for so long, I had to Google around to make sure I hadn't already written about him before.
Don't think I have, and the album cover doesn't look familiar, with a man (whom I presume is McDowell) with his left hand raised and eyes closed in worship.
The song was released back on February 9, 2009, according to Amazon, and since then, it has grown in popularity, with Iyanla Vanzant quoting lyrics from the song on her recent Oprah appearance.
I don't know when our praise and worship team at church began singing the song, but I do remember in October 2010, one guy mentioned how much he loved the song.
"I give myself away, so You can use me," go the lyrics, that bleed into the voice of a woman who sings like she's crying.
(I like people who sound like they're crying when they sing. Beyonce has this quality to her voice.)
"I give myself, I give myself to you..." they continue, proclaiming, "My life is not my own. To you I belong, I give myself, I give myself away."
At least this is Christian music that you can find readily on Amazon.
I love it when Christian artists are progressive enough to use the venues that everyone else uses, like Amazon and iTunes.
