I forgive you because you didn't know. Like most people who consume animal products, you were unaware of the cruelty and suffering that animals like me endure every day for your meals.
I forgive you because the television commercial advertising my flesh said that I was raised on a "happy farm".
I forgive you because you were told by your parents that my flesh and milk secretions were healthy.
I forgive you because the local farmer told you that I was "humanely slaughtered."
I forgive you because you were pressured by your friends, family, and society to eat my flesh.
Tell me you'll change, please. Please change. Me, and every animal raised for meat and dairy are tortured beyond imagination every single day of our horrid lives until the day we are cruelly and mercilessly killed.
Since the day I was born, my execution date was set. I had a few months to live. That period of "life" included being forced to live in my own feces and urine. The farmers beat me daily. I was whipped, burned, and had my private parts ripped right off. I had my horns burned off. My skin was burned with a number. I had a hole cut in my ear so they could clip a yellow ID tag on it. I was given lots of chemicals and antibiotics to keep me alive until slaughter.
The day of my slaughter, I could barely walk from being beaten every day, so they used a fork lift to drag me onto the slaughter truck. I was on that truck in -15 degree weather for ten hours until we reached the slaughterhouse.
They broke my tail and electrocuted me in order to get me to walk off the truck. Then they electrocuted me so that I was paralyzed, but could still feel everything that was happening to me. They grabbed my hind legs, and shackled them so I hung upside down on this moving line. I saw the blade that was heading right towards me, but like many of the other cows in the line, it missed my neck. I was thankful for a minute until I felt the worker cutting my legs off and ripping my skin off. Right before I died, the last thing I felt was him cutting me in half.
Me, along with nearly every other animal used for food endure this. So I ask you, please give up animal products. Whatever cravings or social dissatisfactions you may have to endure, it's nothing compared to what I went through.
You now know what I have to go through so you can eat meat. Please be responsible and join the millions of people choosing a compassionate lifestyle.
(Don't believe me that I was tortured, check out this video: www.meatvideo.com)
