I Dream of Falafel in Chicago

Why dream of sheep when you can dream of falafel?
Why dream of sheep when you can dream of falafel?
Stephanie Herzog

Are you dreaming of falafel? Well, even if you are not craving it enough to be dreaming of it, fans of fresh, fast Mediterranean food are in luck because Chicago restaurant, I Dream of Falafel, has opened a second branch in the Loop (112 W Monroe). Their original store (331 S Franklin) is still thriving but now hungry lunch-goers in a hurry can choose between one of the two restaurants at their convenience, and the new location even features extended hours.

Stop in for a healthy lunch in a hurry or even grab a unique breakfast to go. I Dream of Falafel works like a Chipotle where you order your main platter entrée (golden rice, salad, hummus, or veggie platter for example), and then you can add vegetarian falafels and a sauce of your choice (tahini, raita, toum, spicy tomato, or spicy jalapeno). For those with a hefty hunger add a side of your choice (for extra money) such as lentil soup or tabbouleh. Breakfast choices include items such as a Mediterranean omelet with cheese, toasted hummus, or good ol’ scrambled eggs. For those who work in the loop, fax in your order and have it waiting for you when you arrive. Spice up your office meeting too by taking advantage of I Dream of Falafel’s catering service.
