I'd Rather Be Knitting Yarn Studio was founded in 2003, by Linda Goone. Her mission is to continually strive for a friendly, welcoming community where one can shop for the finest yarns and knitting accessories, while enjoying a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Goone and her staff like to think of the shop as your shop, in which women can come together to talk and explore their love of knitting, whether as a beginner, or as an expert. I'd Rather Be Knitting Yarn Studio combines a large selection of the finest fibers, along with friendly service to create a yarn shop truly "by women, for women".
After 8 wonderful years in historic Long Grove, IL, I’d Rather Be Knitting Yarn Studios has expanded to a new location in Buffalo Grove, IL, just 5 minutes from their old location. The new shop has twice the space – with lots of wonderful treasures for every knitter to discover.
The larger shop allows them to carry even more fabulous fibers and an expanded Books, Patterns and Project Planning area. You will also enjoy the new Coffee, Tea and other hot drink Center while taking classes, shopping, or just hanging out with friends.
Friday Night Knitting Club
For those of you who enjoy spending an evening with fellow knitters, the popular Friday Night Knitting Club will continue this coming year. The store will provide the pizza and drinks, you bring the goodies and conversation.
