I can't believe what I just heard

Listening to the President last night left me with one thought-how nieve does he think I am? He had all these grand ideas that won't work without adding to the budget, no matter what he says or thinks. I think the American people are a little smarter than he gives them credit for. Everything from the budget, to more taxes, to more jobs, to spending, to minimum wage, will cost us, and they will cost us dearly. If you believe what these politicians tell you, then I have a bridge across the Atlantic to sell you. Let me cite just a few examples.

First Mr. Obama tell us that we have nothing wrong with our spending, just our deficits. Well here is a news flash to our "esteemed" leader. If your deficit is so high that you have to spend more to try to bring more in, then, yes, there is something most definitely wrong with your spending. Anytime you spend more than you are taking in, you have a serious issue in front of you. You cannot tax the American people, rich or poor, to finance you're your "utopic" ideals. You will run out of money so fast you will see your behind more than you will see your front. The people can only give so much of their hard earned money to keep the government from ruin.
The lie that the "Obamacare" will not cost anything to the taxpayer came to light in the Supreme Court, when attorneys for the government said that it was a tax. Thank you Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi for lying to the constituents. Every household can tell you that anytime you add another monthly service, or another expensive consumer item to your everyday living, it will add to your monthly expenses, and if you get behind, to you deficit. You don't need to be a genius to figure that out.

On the job issue, President Obama claims his administration added 500,000 new jobs to the economy. Well, sorry to say, since July of 2012 we lost over 600,000 jobs. So the "new" jobs were actually "replacement" jobs. It didn't really do anything for the employment situation. That was money taken out of the tax base, and that in turn affects our spending, which in turn affects our deficit. Are you seeing a pattern here? Almost in the same breath he wants to raise the minimum wage from $7.25 an hour to $9.00 an hour. This proposal would supposedly raise more people out of the poverty rut so that they can better afford to live. Well, the bearer of bad news that I am, this won't help either. Why not, you say? Here is why not, and pay close attention to this little tidbit. If employers raise the minimum wage, they will raise their prices to pay for the wage hike, which in turn will leave the beneficiary of the wage hike unable to afford
make a living. The employers have another trick up their sleeve that could upset this whole affordable living thing. They could lay off people, who then would be on the government dole, who then will cause the government to spend more, and cause increases in federal deficit spending. Are you still paying attention? This whole scenario is just one lie to tell us we are better than we have been in years. You know the old saying, "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is?"

So in closing, I would like to say to my dear friend, Uncle Sam, thanks for trying to scam me, but it won't work. This cookie is too smart to be crumbled. I live by this one philosophy, (actually one of several philosophies): you never know if the economy changes, because if you were poor to start with, you will still be poor if it gets better. Unless of course you came into a wind fall, in which case you will still be poor because Uncle Obama will take 3/4 of it for his four million dollar vacations. And so the endless drama of the liberals persist. This is not what our forefathers signed up for.
