As we draw close to the end of this year and to the beginning of a new one, I want to thank and praise God for my life, health and strength. I want to thank and praise God for waking me up this morning and starting me on my way. I want to thank and praise God that the blood is still running warm in my veins. And as my Grandpapa used pray, “Lord, I want to thank you that the bed I slept in last night was not my cooling board”. Sounds like ole' church, but it's real.
In 2012, I lost so many loved ones that I thought my heart would stop beating from the pain. I faced health challenges that I thought would overtake me. I watched my family suffer physical and emotional turmoil. But through it all I give God the glory for I am "yet holding on" - not in defeat, but in victory. I did not always feel strong, but God’s strength was made perfect in my weakness. Lord, if anyone asks me how did I go through? I will tell them, it's because of You!
