A Daytona Beach man was killed in an accident on I-95 Wednesday evening, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. 52-year old Allen Blank was northbound at the 245 mile-marker on I-95 in southern Volusia County, according to FHP spokesperson Sgt. Kim Montes. The FHP says Blank lost control of the pickup truck he was driving as he made an attempt to change lanes from the outside to inside lane. Troopers say the truck then went into the center median and the right side of the truck hit a tree, causing the truck to roll on its side. As that happened the roof of the truck also hit the same tree. The FHP says it is continuing to investigate the crash.
