Hyundai offers a military discount to current, retired military personnel

In honor of Veterans Day, TrueCar.com has published a list of the auto makers that offer a military discount. Among those companies, Hyundai offers a military discount to current and retired military personnel.

You’re going to have to ask your dealer for specifics, but basically the program offers $500 for active and retired military personnel in addition to other rebates and deals being offered. You will need to show proof beyond just a military ID from what I saw posted at a forum on Military.Com.

Also, be on the lookout for dealerships that offer service discounts to active military personnel. I’ve seen a couple that offer 10% off if you announce your military affiliation when setting your appointment.

Your best bet (because after all there are 700 Hyundai dealers) is to Google “Hyundai Military Discount” and your state. Also, because it is a set $500, you’re obviously going to get more bang for your buck buying a Hyundai Elantra than a Hyundai Equus, but the new Elantra is pretty sweet looking!
