Look at that burn! The new Hyundai Genesis whether a V8 or tuned V6 can drift with the best of them.

When you've got 580 hp available at a simple press of the accelerator, it's pretty easy to drift the Hyundai Genesis. As seen in the video below, twisting sideways and holding a steady drift with Hyundai's latest sports car practically comes natural. With a 3.8 liter V6 and twin turbo application, the lightweight but very powerful Hyundai is capable of creating a great burn but at the same time remaining incredibly balanced. Stock curb weight is 3,748 pounds, which gives the Genesis enough weight to stay stuck to the road but yet light enough to slide with ease. It is my opinion that when Hyundai created the Genesis, they wanted to dominate the drifting world. If you look at the way the car is setup, very close the layout of the infamous Nissan 240's which rule the world of drifting.

Not only is the car an amazing build, but the video is pretty high energy and very well constructed. Unique camera angles, high paced music, and a little bit of comic relief all brings together a very exciting experience. Will the Genesis go down in history as one of the best drift cars out there? It's too early to say, but the future is looking very bright for this Korean sports car. Overcoming the nasty stigma that once surrounded Hyundai, they are breaking the mold and finally using their own designs. For the longest time, Hyundai was a copy cat; now they are going to be the ones who are copied. Discuss this article with the CarDomain.com community!
