Hypocrisy: Pro-choice Democrats use Religion to push minimum wage

Today the New Hampshire Senate held a session in which they voted on HB 1403 – the Minimum Wage bill. There currently is no minimum wage in the Granite State but it would have created a minimum wage higher than that at the current federal level of $7.25 per hour. The bill was voted “Inexpedient to Legislate” down party lines 13-11. What was outrageous during the floor speeches were a few Democrats invoking “religion” as a reason to raise the wage in New Hampshire.

These are the same Democrats who are pro-choice and are backed by extreme abortion groups like NARAL and Emily’s List. Do they invoke religion when discussing abortion bills? They actually mentioned the Pope. The Pope would probably love to have a discussion with them on abortion legislation. The utter hypocrisy of these people is ridiculous. How can you argue for legislation using religion (these are the same people who want religion out of government) when it comes to money but not when it comes to “life?”

This is almost like “Groundhog Day” from yesterday’s House vote on EBT card usage when anti-2nd Amendment Democrat Timothy Horrigan argued for EBT users’ ability to purchase firearms with their welfare dollars. Do these people have no shame? Do they honestly believe they can be against an argument in one breath but then in the other use that very same argument?

Any Democrat who pushed religion today ought to spend an hour in Confession. It proves once again how desperate Democrats are to push knee-jerk emotional legislation. Once again Democrats prove they are only pro-choice when it comes to abortion but not when it comes to things anything else.
