From June 24th, 2011 until the end of summer, Hydro-Quebec will be offering the public free guided tours of 16 of its facilities scattered across the province, including Hydro-Quebec's head office, the Electrium - where you can learn all about the electricity that surrounds us, or visit the latest hydroelectric project - The Romaine 2, where you will be fascinated by the heavy machinery, the orchestrated rhythm of the work, the open-cut and underground rock excavation, as well as the unobstructed views.

The full list of facilities consists of: Premiere-Chute Generating Station in Abitibi-Temiscamingue; Robert-Bourassa Generating Facility and La Grande-1 Generating Station in Baie-James; Jean-Lesage Generating Station (Manic-2)and Daniel-Johnson Dam and Manic-5 Generating Station north of Baie-Comeau; The Romaine-2 jobsite – the hydroelectric endeavor of the decade in the Cote-Nord; Iles-de-la-Madeleine Generating Station in the heart of the Golfe du Saint-Laurent; Carillon Generating Station on the Outaouais river; Riviere-des-Prairies Generating Station between the Montreal and Laval banks; Cite de l'energie and Shawinigan-2 Generating Station; Parc de la Riviere-Batiscan in the Mauricie Region; the Electrium on the Montreal South Shore; Beauharnois Generating Station 40km southwest of Montreal; Rapides-Farmer Generating Station in the heart of Gatineau; Les Sept-Chutes located just a few minutes from Mont Sainte-Anne and the picturesque municipality of Saint-Ferreol-les-Neiges and the Hydro-Quebec's head office in downtown Montreal.
