One of the better eatin' and drinkin' events around is the annual Hudson Valley Wine & Food Festival, this year scheduled for the weekend of September 6-7 at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. This will be the 13th year for the extravaganza that is spread throughout the sprawling venue. The emphasis is on food and beverages produced in New York State, with emphasis on the Hudson Valley, and includes a wine competition for Valley wineries.

The festival will offer hundreds of wines, more than 100 vendors of specialty foods, art and lifestyle vendors items, food sampling from restaurants in the region, a food truck corral and live entertainment. In addition, cooking demonstrations and food and wine seminars are being scheduled.
