There's a rabbit hutch (aw, widdle bunnies); the hutch that's a storage bin; a predictable movie from 2005 starring Will Smith; and a kind of cabinet your mother or grandmother has for dishes or knickknacks.
The latter is probably what the owners of Hutch, a new American bistro in Lakeview, had in mind to connote a certain familiarity and comfort.
Hutch offers appetizers like the Hutch board (cured meats, Wisconsin cheese curds, jumbo corn nuts, house pickles and seasonal garnish), skillet shrimp (creole butter and dunking bread) and tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons.
Entree options include the double cut pork chop (grilled witch creamy cheddar polenta, bacon butter and grilled peaches), sea scallops (corn and chive risotto, celery leaf, crispy leeks and pork belly), and grilled filet kabobs (sweet red wine glazed with charred vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes).
An array of brick-oven flatbreads, burgers and sandwiches complete the menu. Complement your dinner with a craft brew, glass of wine or the house cocktail: High West double rye, smoked apple cider ice cube, soda and bacon brown sugar rim.
There's an 18 seat patio, private party space for up to 150 guests and kids eat free every night 5 pm to 6:30 pm.
- Manic Mondays: $10 entree special (rotates weekly, could be ribs, scallops, BBQ salmon, drunken chicken, grilled double cut pork chop).

- Wednesday: B & B Wednesdays, a Hutch Board (cured meats, cheese curds, house pickles, jumbo corn nuts) and bottle of wine for $30.
