Husson will travel to Plattsburgh for NCAA tourney first round game

The Husson University Eagles men's basketball team earned a trip to the Division 3 national tournament when they defeated Castleton 74-68 Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles will travel to Plattsburgh, N.Y. for a first round contest with the Plattsburgh State Cardinals. Game is scheduled for Saturday, March 2nd.

Number one Amherst will host the winner oon Saturday, March 9th.

The Eagles have won seven of their last eight games. Husson (20-8) is led by Eric Modica and Marc Zaharchuk who both average 11.6 ppg.

Zaharchuk scored his 1000 career point in the Eagles conference championship victory.

Plattsburgh State (20-8) comes in with a 11-1 record at home. Shamoy McIntosh. The sophomore is averaging 12.2 ppg
