The University of Washington Huskies started their final regular season weekend with a 4-3 win over the University of California Golden Bears at Levine-Fricke Field in Berkeley, California.

Washington had the bats hot lead by senior Whitney Jones who went 3-for-3, including a double, as the Huskies look to keep the momentum going heading towards the playoffs.

UW (30-13, 10-9) is ranked eighth in the nation and as usual is joined by a number of Pac-12 foes as the conference once again shows it's softball strength.

The Oregon Ducks lead the way with the number one ranking, followed in the top ten by No. 2 UCLA, No. 3 Arizona State and No. 9 Arizona.

The Huskies continue their weekend series against the Bears at 3:30pm on Friday, May 9th at Cal.
