After blowing out 19th-ranked Boise State on Saturday night, the Huskies strong play was noticed by the pollsters. The Huskies jumped six spots in the AP poll, while moving up three spots in the Coaches poll.
Joining the Broncos in dropping out of the polls was Oregon State, who lost to FCS Eastern Washington 49-46 on Saturday afternoon.
Four other Pac-12 teams join the Huskies in both polls; Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, and USC. Oregon and Stanford both hold top-five spots in both polls; the Ducks are second in the AP poll and third in the Coaches, while the Cardinal is fifth in the AP poll and fourth in the Coaches.
Alabama retained the top spot in both polls, while Ohio State and Clemson also received first-place votes in the AP poll and the Buckeyes and Texas A&M joined Alabama in receiving first-place votes in the Coaches poll.
The Huskies have a bye this week before taking on Illinois in Chicago on September 14.
