The UW men's soccer team returns to Husky Soccer Stadium for the final two home games of the 2010 season as the Huskies host No. 15 UCLA on Friday at 7 p.m. and San Diego State on Sunday at 1 p.m. UW is 5-1 at home this season and boasts a 9-5-1 record entering the weekend. The Huskies currently sit in fourth place in the Pac-10 standings at 3-4-0.
Scouting No. 15 UCLA
The Bruins enter Friday's match with UW with an 11-4-1 overall record and a 5-2 league mark which puts them in second place behind Cal. UCLA is ranked No. 15 in both the NSCAA and Soccer America polls from last week. The Bruins played just one match last week and picked up a non-conference win over Cal State Northridge, 2-1. Victor Chavez leads the team with seven goals and four assists while Kelyn Rowe has six goals and a team-high six assists. In goal, Brian Rowe has logged 1,478 minutes, allowing 16 goals and making 60 saves. In the first meeting between UW and UCLA this season on Oct. 1 in Los Angeles, UCLA earned the victory 1-0 with a goal by Joe Sofia in the ninth minute. UCLA leads the overall series 21-11-2. UW's last win over UCLA was a 1-0 victory in LA on Oct. 28, 2007.
Scouting San Diego State
The Aztecs are 9-5-2 overall and 2-4-1 in the Pac-10, currently in fifth place behind the Dawgs. SDSU went 1-0 last week with a non-conference win at Cal State Fullerton, 4-1. The Aztecs are receiving votes in last week's coaches poll. Raymundo Reza leads the team with six goals and five assists. Jose Altamirano has a team-high nine assists. Brad Bryns has played 16 games at the net and logged 1,477 minutes. He has made 54 saves while allowing 18 goals. In San Diego on Oct. 3, the Aztecs defeated then-ranked No. 23 UW 4-3 in overtime. Brent Richards scored two goals in that game for the Huskies while Dylan Tucker-Gangnes also scored on a penalty kick. The Huskies lead the overall series 6-4-6.

Husky still are average just like their coach the surfer durfer boy. Average is pretty good though considering the coaching they get, good job players. It's tough when you are being held back.
