Huskies enter league play ranked 21st with 6-1-1 record

The University of Washington Huskies received the fewest votes of the six men's soccer clubs that make up the "Pac 10," and ended up dead last in pre-season predictions. Since then the school has gone 6-1-1 in non-league matches, including a win over ranked Portland. Now some national soccer thinkers are putting the Huskies in the top 25 as they prepare for weekend action at UCLA and San Diego State.

Last week, Soccer America ranked the Huskies No. 21. It's the first time the Dawgs have been in the polls since being ranked in the top 10 in 2006. Most of the top 25 polls come out new every Tuesday. TopDrawerSoccer.com releases its Tournament 48 picks each Monday, picking who they think will make this year's NCAA Tournament. For the first time this season, the Huskies made the list, coming in at No. 31 this week.
