In 2010, Elisha Jachetti was home from college for the summer. She was studying film and theater at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She began to work in Ocean City, NJ, where she met Alexander Vorobyev, who was in the USA on a work and travel program. He was studying film production at Mosfilm back home. They fell in love and four years later, after graduating from their respective institutions, they got married in Ocean City, NJ. Both, being equally passionate about filmmaking, founded His & Her Films and are excited to create their first feature film together.
Together, they wrote the comedy, Variety, which is about a privately owned variety store that is successful until a mega-chain comes to town, threatening their business. Violet bands with her unlikely ally, Yuri, and the two together are willing to do just about anything to save their beloved store. An unpredictable sequence of hilarious situations and intricate romantic relationships begin to unravel, rendering the film incredibly fun and entertaining.
One aim of Variety is to support the prosperity and goals of small businesses. A second is to help foster a more positive image of the Jersey Shore. The movie is great, clean fun, with the idea of showcasing the beauty of the beaches, streets, and towns. In addition, all of the primary individuals involved in this production are either living in New Jersey or are from New Jersey.
In order to make this film a reality, His & Her Films need to raise at least $18,000.00. They have started a campaign on a crowdfunding website, Indiegogo, where anyone can go and pledge money to help make their dreams a reality. Everyone has until September 5th to donate. However, the majority of the money has to be raised as soon as possible, so that Jachetti & Vorobyev can prepare for production beginning September 15th. Any little bit helps. Donations start at $1 and extend to $5,000 with the opportunity for companies to purchase product placement. Please help spread the word about this film for His & Her Films and New Jersey!
