Husband, wife die after colliding into one another in head-on collision

A tragic accident has taken the lives of a husband and wife in North Texas, but the circumstances behind the head-on collision are even more bothersome. The Star-Telegram reported on Thursday, June 5, 2014, that the husband and wife died in a traffic collision after their vehicles hit each other near the places they both work.

The Texas Department of Safety has reported that the accident happened sometime mid-morning on Wednesday, June 4, 2014.

The victims have been identified as 26-year-old Kristina Munoz and her husband, 31-year-old Nicolas Cruz. According to the Wichita Falls Times Record News, the accident happened near the Marhard Pullet Farm and both the husband and wife were alone in their vehicles.

The head-on collision that took their lives happened about three miles west of Odell, Texas, and about 60 miles northwest of Wichita Falls.

An investigation is now underway to try and determine the exact cause of the crash. Trooper Jymie Ha stated that it is known known whether speed was a cause of the crash that took place on County Road 87.

There has been no word yet as to funeral arrangements for either the husband or the wife, but the family has been notified of the situation.
