Yes, it is a tad late to be plugging the shot at a free ticket (go to http://www.healthfreedomexpo.com/hfe/free_ticket.php) to the Long Beach Health Freedom Expo since it is only valid for tomorrow, Friday, March 1. However, a great many of those involved in holistic living are spontaneous enough to be willing to print this off and dash away to the Long Beach Convention Center anyway. It would certainly have been nicer if the Expo organizers had advertised this freebie earlier.
At any rate, there are still Saturday and Sunday even if those days require payment of just $20 per day, or $45 for the whole weekend. You may purchase your tickets either online at http://www.healthfreedomexpo.com/hfe/index.php or at the door when you arrive. The Expo begins 10 a.m. both Friday and Saturday, closing at 7 p.m. On Sunday the hours run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
As in the past this event will most likely be packed, so arriving early is advisable. Lunches are available consisting of healthy foods, mostly of a vegan nature. Entertainment, displays of countless items such as books, health devices, jewelry and even clothing will be there to delight and educate the attendees.
The heart of this exposition, however, is in the lectures available. You will have a choice of topics such as the benefits of raw food, holistic cancer treatment, autism, weight loss and aging. It’s always hard to pick which speaker to listen to, since all of them are well-versed in their subjects and have a lot of great information to impart. Many will also be selling books, CDs and DVDs on their area of expertise.
Many of the exhibitors are also professionals in various healing modalities, and will be giving demonstrations of their methods. Some will offer samples of their wares, or mini-treatments involving non-invasive healing, such as reiki. Seeing and experiencing the effects will be a first for many patrons, and may lead to further exploration of the possibilities existing for better health through natural means.
Events like the Health Freedom Expo are a good opportunity not only to mingle with other holistic-minded individuals and make connections with groups and organizations of the same bent, but to learn of healing means both new and ancient. Bring a friend if you can, and open someone else’s eyes to the world of whole health.
